Bondteam ready to wait for Mendes
A new twist has emerged in the Bond team’s hunt for a successor to Sam Mendes. The latest candidate is . . . Sam Mendes. Deadline reports that the director – whose Skyfall took more than ¤1 billion – is back in talks with Sony and the remnants of MGM. Mendes originally said he was too busy to direct a follow-up.
The story suggests that Eon, the production company behind 007, may be prepared to delay the shoot if Mendes proves to be amenable.
