Let Us Prey gets Brussels gong

The Irish Times - Friday - The Ticket - - NEWS -

Keep an eye open for Brian O’Malley’s macabre Let Us Prey. The impressively strange Irish thriller pre- miered last weekend at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival and grabbed the Méliès d’Argent gong for best European Fantastic Film. The unstoppable Liam Cunningham stars in the story of a police station overcome by an inexplicable force. The picture is, of course, produced by Brendan McCarthy and John McDonnell whose Fantastic Films continues to lead the field in Irish genre entertainment. “Brussels Fantastic Film Festival has been a great place for us to showcase what we do. We love the horror genre and, it would appear ,so does the Brussels cinema-going public,” O’Malley said.
