First Fortnight casts a starry Light
First Fortnight, the mental health arts festival that takes place in Dublin each January, has teamed up with Donegal-based independent label Bluestack Records to release a compilation album featuring 20 Irish and international acts.
There Is a Light will launch with a gig at Whelan’s, Dublin on May 29th and features contributions from the likes of O Emperor, Si Schroeder, Crayonsmith, The Ambience Affair, Hidden Highways, Windings, Band of Clouds, Dylan Tighe and more.
Tickets for the gig, which will feature live performances by a number of artists from the compilation, are on sale now via the WaV box office and Entertainment.ie.
The album release ties in with the Green Ribbon campaign, which runs during the month of May and aims to highlight mental health awareness. All profits from both the album and the gig will go to First Fortnight as part of the campaign.
The album is available to buy in various formats from Bluestackrecords.com.
