First Fort­night casts a starry Light

First Fort­night, the men­tal health arts fes­ti­val that takes place in Dublin each Jan­uary, has teamed up with Done­gal-based in­de­pen­dent la­bel Blues­tack Records to re­lease a com­pi­la­tion al­bum fea­tur­ing 20 Ir­ish and in­ter­na­tional acts.

There Is a Light will launch with a gig at Whelan’s, Dublin on May 29th and fea­tures con­tri­bu­tions from the likes of O Em­peror, Si Schroeder, Crayon­smith, The Am­bi­ence Af­fair, Hid­den High­ways, Wind­ings, Band of Clouds, Dy­lan Tighe and more.

Tick­ets for the gig, which will fea­ture live per­for­mances by a num­ber of artists from the com­pi­la­tion, are on sale now via the WaV box of­fice and En­ter­tain­ment.ie.

The al­bum re­lease ties in with the Green Rib­bon cam­paign, which runs dur­ing the month of May and aims to high­light men­tal health aware­ness. All prof­its from both the al­bum and the gig will go to First Fort­night as part of the cam­paign.
