Loach may linger after all
It seems that, like David Bowie and Frank Sinatra, Ken Loach may have been a bit forward in intimating retirement. Rebecca O’Brien, Loach’s longtime producer, had previously suggested that Jimmy’s Hall, which premieres at Cannes next week, would be the great man’s last film.
Loach told the Hollywood Reporter last week that the report emerged during a particularly stressful stretch on the Irish film. “Having come out the other side, while I’m not sure we’ll get another of that size away, we’ll at least get a little film together of some sort,” he said.
Hooray! The ravens have not yet left the tower.
