A taste of Africa at NUI Galway
The Galway African Film Festival will be kicking into action next Friday May 23rd. Among the films unspooling in that fine city we find Ahmad Abdalla’s Rags and Tatters, which offers an sideways perspective on the Egyptian Arab Spring, and Biyi Bandele’s recent Half of a Yellow Sun.
There are 11 films on offer along with a special children’s film, Felix from South Africa. Now in its seventh year, the festival is hosted by the Huston Film School in NUI Galway and is assisted by Galway City Council.
