Tarantino talks of Django TV re-jig
Quentin Tarantino said a lot of things when he popped up for a press conference at the penultimate day of the Cannes Film Festival. He gave out about digital projection. He claimed that he had calmed down about the leaking of his script or The Hateful Eight.
But the most interesting part of the chat found him claiming that, utilising 90 minutes of hitherto unused footage, he intended to edit Django Unchained into a mini-series.
“It wouldn’t be an endurance test,” he said. “It would be a mini-series and people love those. You show people a four-hour movie and they roll their eyes. Show people a four-part mini-series and they’ll sit and watch it all in one sitting.”
He says a lot of things.
