THE ARTIST’S EYE DONALDTESKEY
From 1980, AIB built up a superb collection of Irish art, dating from the late 19th century onwards, under the guidance of Frances Ruane. Invited to select work for an exhibition at Limerick’s Hunt Museum, Donald Teskey decided he would go for “a core of works in which red constitutes a significant component.” His choice ranges from Seán Scully to Camille Souter (above), and includes artists with Limerick connections, including Diana Copperwhite and Michael Canning. A very enjoyable show. The Hunt Museum, The Custom House, Rutland St, Limerick Mon-Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 2pm-5pm. Until Aug 11.
