Dutch theatre troupe Het Fil­i­aal is on a short Ir­ish tour with their chil­dren’s show. Us­ing pup­pets, mod­els and pro­jec­tion, as well as live ac­tors, The Se­cret of Q prom­ises to thrill kids seven and up with this in­trigu­ing tale about a 10-year-old girl who ven­tures out­side for the first time. The Ir­ish Cham­ber Orches­tra’s out­reach pro­gramme of singing, mu­si­cal com­po­si­tion and vi­o­lin tu­ition to lo­cal chil­dren will have its gala con­cert on Wed­nes­day at noon in the Univer­sity Con­cert Hall, Lim­er­ick. The Rhythms of Life con­cert will in­clude new com­po­si­tions and or­ches­tral works, per­formed by more than 300 chil­dren from the Sing Out With Strings group (right).
