HWCH opens for bands and techs

The doors have been thrown open to all Ir­ish bands, artists and people of a mu­si­cal per­sua­sion to ap­ply for this year’s Hard Work­ing Class He­roes fes­ti­val.

Now in its 12th year, the show­case fes­ti­val for emerg­ing mu­si­cal acts will run in var­i­ous venues around the city from Thurs­day Oc­to­ber 2nd to Satur­day Oc­to­ber 4th. This year also marks the first time that the fes­ti­val will be spon­sored by HMV Ire­land, for­ti­fy­ing its bur­geon­ing re­la­tion­ship with the com­pany af­ter re­cently launch­ing the monthly Break­ing Tunes in­store gig se­ries in its Dublin and Belfast stores.

The HWCH Dig­i­tal el­e­ment of the fes­ti­val will also re­turn for a sec­ond year af­ter a suc­cess­ful de­but in 2013. Arts, Cul­ture and En­ter­tain­ment tech­nol­ogy in­no­va­tors who wish to take part in the con­ven­tion – which will run as part of the day pro­gramme – are also in­vited to sub­mit their ap­pli­ca­tion via hwch.net. The dead­line for both is July 16th.
