SEA SESSIONS Bundoran, Co Donegal Today until Sunday, 1pm ¤99/¤89 seases

Surf! Music! Beach! Bikes! Skates! Sport! Yes, folks, just when you thought that music festivals were getting a wee bit lame and limp, along comes the annual Sea Sessions bash to remind you that there’s more to life than a rake of bands throwing shapes this way and that.

With Sea Sessions, shapes can be thrown in all manner of directions: if the music doesn’t get you all of the time (and, frankly, what music does?), then the integral range of activities will. Check them out: beach soccer and volleyball, tag rugby, action sports and the Expression Session (which features the best in performance surfing) are just several of the non-music bits and pieces you can partake in.

And the music? Well, take your pick from any of the following: Kelis (above), The Strypes, Dandy Warhols, The Raglans, Walking on Cars, Drenge, New Secret Weapon, Corner Boy, Little Matador and Ella Eyre. There’s loads more – we just don’t have the space.

Bundoran, however, might just be the final frontier this weekend, so away you go!
