The Irish Times - Friday - The Ticket - - GOING OUT -

Ibrahim Ah Alhabib and his Tuareg musical nomads have come a long way since forming in refugee camps in Libya and Algeria in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Over the past decade, their seductive desert blues has found an audience beyond north Africa, thanks to albums like The Radio Tisdas Sessions and Amassakoul. Their current album, Emmaar is just as entrancing. Opera House, Cork, Sat 8pm; Westport Festival, Sun 3pm; NCH, Dublin, Tue 8pm tinariwen.com
