Variety tips Eve for the top

The Irish Times - Friday - The Ticket - - NEWS -

Dubliner Eve Hewson, so good opposite James Gandolfini and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the recent Enough Said, has been named as one of Variety magazine’s 10 actors to watch for 2014.

She is currently drawing acclaim for her performance in Steven Soderbergh’s The Knick – a period medical drama now showing on the Cinemax channel in the US.

Other actors mentioned on the Variety list include Dakota Johnson from 50 Shades of Grey, the boney Caleb Landry Jones and Jenny Slate, who can be seen in the current Obvious Child.

Zoe Kravitz, also on the list, will, no doubt, sympathise with Hewson as she reads endless articles (such as this) which fail to avoid mentioning that Eve’s dad is Bono. Zoe Kravitz’s father is, of course, Lenny of that ilk.
