Gigging for the people of Gaza
A number of charity gigs in aid of the people of Gaza are taking place in Dublin over the coming weeks. Christy Moore will play a gig for the children of Gaza at Vicar Street on October 12th, where he’ll be accompanied by Declan Sinnott.
A Gig for Gaza takes place at the Olympia Theatre on Sunday, September 21st, with Paul Brady, The Stunning, Frances Black, Don Baker and Big September on the bill, with more to be added. Tickets for both gigs are on sale through Ticketmaster now.
This week, Play for Peace: A Gaza Crisis Appeal features Irish acts Travis Oaks, Tara, Sive, Fauve and more at The Workman’s Club on Sunday; entry is ¤10 on the door, while on Wednesday A Gig for Gaza, in support of the Irish Red Cross’s Gaza Crisis Appeal sees The Minutes, Buffalo Sunn, alt-folk group The Eskies, jazz-folksters Mongoose and Youth Mass play. Today FM DJ Paul McLoone will MC, and tickets are ¤15 on the door.
