BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP ★★★ Directed by Rowan Joffe. Starring Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Anne-Marie Duff

The Irish Times - Friday - The Ticket - - CINEMA -

Christine (Kidman) suffers from anterograde amnesia, or, to use a medical term, amnesia improbabilitas. Thus, our heroine awakens every morning and is startled to discover that she is married to Ben (Firth). When he leaves for work, she is contacted daily by my Dr Nash (Strong), a mysterious neuroscientist helps her piece together memories of the brutal attack that has left her thus. Joffe’s adaptation of SJ Watson’s bestseller is silly as heck, often in a good way. Cert 15A, general release, 91mins
