New industry, new Ensemble
In a broken music industry, there is hypothetically plenty of room for new models to emerge, but that doesn’t make it any easier to forge new paths. Ensemble is a new Irish music company run by musicians with a mission to support “unusual artists” across management, marketing and gig promotion. It’s a good pitch conside ing acts perceived as “niche” often find it hard to access industry expertise. Ensemble also hopes to release music in the future. On September 27th, Ensemble launches with a mini festival at Block B in Smithfield featuring Alarmist, Bantum (below), Butter, Ensemble Ériu, Kirkos Ensemble, Loah, Nova Collective, Overhead, The Albatross, Redivider, Téada Orchestra, Zaska and DJs. It’s a BYOB event, tickets m €10.
