New in­dus­try, new En­sem­ble

In a bro­ken mu­sic in­dus­try, there is hy­po­thet­i­cally plenty of room for new mod­els to emerge, but that doesn’t make it any eas­ier to forge new paths. En­sem­ble is a new Ir­ish mu­sic company run by mu­si­cians with a mis­sion to support “un­usual artists” across man­age­ment, mar­ket­ing and gig pro­mo­tion. It’s a good pitch con­side ing acts per­ceived as “niche” of­ten find it hard to ac­cess in­dus­try ex­per­tise. En­sem­ble also hopes to re­lease mu­sic in the fu­ture. On Septem­ber 27th, En­sem­ble launches with a mini fes­ti­val at Block B in Smith­field fea­tur­ing Alarmist, Ban­tum (be­low), But­ter, En­sem­ble Ériu, Kirkos En­sem­ble, Loah, Nova Col­lec­tive, Over­head, The Al­ba­tross, Re­di­vider, Téada Orches­tra, Zaska and DJs. It’s a BYOB event, tick­ets m €10.
