SYNTH-POP All Tvvins Conor Adams and Lar Kaye have each spent time with bands Cast of Cheers, No Spill Blood and Adebesi Shank, but it’s only when they de­cided to team up as All Tvvins that mat­ters took a com­mer­cial turn. Now signed to Warner UK and with a de­but sin­gle ( Thank You) pick­ing up ra­dio play, it’s surely only a hop and a skip away from big­ger and bet­ter things. SONG­WRITER Sean Mil­lar One of Ire­land’s most se­ri­ously un­der­rated song­writ­ers em­barks on a se­ries of col­lab­o­ra­tive gigs to mark two decades-plus as a solo artist. Spe­cial guests at this in­au­gu­ral show in­clude elec­tro pop duo Buf­falo Woman and African-Ir­ish group Tig Linn. TRA­DI­TIONAL Zoe Con­way and John McIn­tyre tune com­posers, hav­ing com­mis­sioned many for a re­cent al­bum she recorded with her hus­band, gui­tarist John McIn­tyre. Tonight’s con­cert marks a high point in this year’s Féile Pa­trick Byrne, with wife and hus­band bring­ing their rich set list to an in­trigu­ing venue. JAZZ Bril­liant Cor­ners Jazz Fes­ti­val Belfast con­tem­po­rary mu­sic evan­ge­lists Mov­ing On Mu­sic have pulled to­gether a small but per­fectly formed jazz fes­ti­val run­ning in var­i­ous venues round the city from to­day through Satur­day. The bill in­cludes the ex­cel­lent Dublin City Jazz Orches­tra, new groups from sax­o­phon­ist Meilana Gil­lard and or­gan­ist Scott Flani­gan, and a visit from hip Lon­don trio Troyka. WORK­SHOP Write to Live, Live to Write Jdiff presents an event for film writ­ers, in as­so­ci­a­tion with the Ir­ish Writ­ers Cen­tre. The panel of ex­perts in­cludes story devel­op­ment pro­fes­sional Rachel O’Flana­gan, script con­sul­tant Mary Kate O’Flana­gan, writer-direc­tor Conor McMa­hon ( From the Dark) and writer Pierce Ryan ( Standby). And un­like lunch, it’s free.
