ELEC­TRONIC The Ra­dio­phonic Work­shop: Out of the Tardis Pi­o­neer­ing elec­tronic mu­si­cians are rare th­ese days, so it’s a treat to wel­come to Ire­land the peo­ple be­hind the BBC’s Ra­dio­phonic Work­shop, which cre­ated the sound­tracks for many BBC shows, and has in­flu­enced the likes of Pink Floyd, The Bea­tles, The Hor­rors and Or­bital – to name but sev­eral. DAR­LINGS Vil­lagers So far this year, there has been noth­ing to beat the pu­rity and hon­esty of Vil­lagers’ new al­bum, Dar­ling Arith­metic, but how will Conor O’Brien’s serene songs from this al­bum fare within the ter­rific tu­mult of a band show? We’re look­ing for­ward to what­ever hap­pens, frankly. ART Sara Foust and Cor­mac O’Leary: Arc of Visibility Two artists who make med­i­ta­tive land­scape works in a fine Co Clare venue. Sara Foust’s stud­ies of Lis­can­nor Bay have an al­le­gor­i­cal di­men­sion re­lated to our life ex­pe­ri­ence. Cor­mac O’Leary sees lay­ers of mem­ory and per­sonal mean­ing in vast nat­u­ral ex­panses.
