The Irish Times - Friday - The Ticket - - SEVEN DAYS | FILM - DC

Directed by Patryk Vega. Starring Piotr Stramowski, Andrzej Grabowski A big, tough cop (who doesn’t play by the rules and so on) run up against villains in Warsaw. Some of the set pieces are genuinely impressive, but the reliance on random butchery eventually becomes exhausting. More worryingly, it conjures up the most depressingly unreconstructed set of female characters in any recent film. In the course of the action, those unfortunate women are shot in the back, have fingers bloodily removed and are smothered graphically with plastic bags. Avoid. 18 cert, Odeon Charlestown/Coolock/Point Village, Dublin, 133 min
