Ed wants a love scene with Helen Mirren
TRACK OF THE WEEK Lyra- Emeralds OK, so we’ d slept on Ly ra until she took over our Ins tag ram feed via Body& Soul this weekend. And oh man, we’ re in. The buzz around this Cork singer says En ya, but we think she ow es a debt instead to Florence and the Machine.
Think grand, verdant metaphors, tales of wild nights and swoopy, galloping vocals that come crashing down in the chorus. There’s an EP on Spotify–and we’re keeping our ears out for an album.
He roof the week is Kate Nash, who spoke up about the pressureon womenin thepublic eye. She told the Independent: “When you’ re a woman, you have such a strange relationshipwith your body because–especially when you’re in the public eye– you’ re constantly being judged.
“People comment on my body all the time in a really inappropriate way, in away I find completely offensive. [I] saw it in serious newspapers where I’ve been called‘ too fat’ and‘ too ugly’ to be a popstar.”
Meanwhile, Louis Tomlins on told the Guardian that he never really found his role in One Direction .“The others have always been… Like Niall, for example. He’ s the most lovely guy in the world. Happy-go-lucky Irish, nosense of arrogance. And he’s fearless. There are times I’ ve thought :‘ I’ d have a bit of that .’ Zayn, back in the day. He could relatetomeonanerveslevel. In thefirstyear, we were both the least confident. But Z ayn has a fantastic voice and for him it was always about owning that. Li am always had a good stage presence, same as Harry. Harry comes across very cool. Liam’ s all about getting the crowd going, doing a bit of dancing… And then there’s me.”
Zero of the week is a love scene between Ed Sheer an and Helen Mirren. Ed told ITV. “I always loved Helen Mirren, me and Helen could do a love scene. I guess that sounds weird, doesn’t it ?” I’ m not really a good actor, and she’s a very good actress, so I don’ t think she’ d want to do it ”.
