The Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare, has recently finished a two- year refurbishment programme which includes two new suites, the Oscars and the Signature Suite.

They were designed by Italian interior designer and hotel specialist Hugo da Silva along with Meitheal Architects ( integrating PLM architects). The suites now complete the refurbishment of all 66 rooms.

Da Silva worked with local suppliers to create bespoke furnishings. Tactile cottons and rich velvets are combined with tweeds and soft lighting to create a timeless feel to the rooms. The larger Oscars Suite features a king bed, private dressing space and en suite bathroom, with French doors in the sitting area leading out to a private terrace overlooking the spectacular Sheen Waterfall.

The suites cost ¤ 1,000 per night for the Oscars suite and ¤ 675 for the Signature Suite. The name comes from a Heron who comes every summer and was named Oscar by the staff.
