An am­bi­tious fash­ion and food sum­mit will be hosted in Sligo on the week­end of Novem­ber 2nd- 5th. The brain­child of Sligo na­tive Joanne Costel­loe, a stylist who trained in Lon­don, it will bring to­gether 25 chefs, in­clud­ing the cel­e­brated Mick­ael Vil­ja­nen of The Green Door ( pic­tured, with model Sarah Mor­ris­sey), and also speak­ers in­clud­ing Aimee McWil­liams, a fash­ion de­signer and for­mer cre­ative di­rec­tor of Bal­main with her own lux­ury lin­gerie com­pany; Gwen Cun­ning­ham, who leads the Cir­cle Tex­tiles Pro­gramme in Am­s­ter­dam on sus­tain­abil­ity in fash­ion; along with Ir­ish de­sign­ers Ash­leigh Smith and So­phie Rieu, who use sus­tain­able ma­te­ri­als in their work. The sum­mit will close with a gala din­ner and Ir­ish in­dus­try award cer­e­mony in the Radisson Blue Ho­tel in Rosses Point on Sun­day 5th with Maria Walsh as MC. iiffs. ie
