Terror time

The Irish Times Magazine - - WE LOVE... -

For a terrifying step back in time, head to Cork’s Triskel Arts Centre this Halloween. As part of their Tobe Hooper – Master of Macabre Season, the Triskel will be screening two of the late director’s most famous movies, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

( 1974) and Poltergeist ( 1982), alongside his once- lost debut horror movie Eggshells ( 1969) and the lesser known – but equally terrifying – Eaten Alive

( 1977) and Funhouse ( 1981) between October 29th and 31st. For pure uncensored horror, all films are digitally remastered and will be screened in their cinema, which is actually a refurbished 1700s neo- classical church. Ideal, really. A season ticket for all four films is ¤ 28. triskelartscentre. ie
