Burying the truth

The Irish Times Magazine - - INDEX -

Requiem for the Truth is a live music and theatre experience that lays the truth to rest in style. The show, a collaboration between Dublin- based brass band Stomptown Brass and Collapsing Horse theatre company, takes the colour and celebration of a New Orleans funeral and blends it with the dark and mournful air of a Catholic Mass. The show made its debut at last year’s Dublin Fringe Festival and has since toured to Bergen in Norway, the Cork Jazz Festival and Waterford Arts Festival. It is in the Pepper Canister Church, Dublin, on November 16th and 17th. Irish Times columnist Una Mullally is giving the eulogy on the 17th. Tickets cost ¤ 15/¤ 25. stomptownbrass. com
