Rassie to show at Aviva, odds on . . .

The Irish Times - Monday - Sport - - Rugby -

Rassie Erasmus, the Springboks new director of rugby, gave an emotional farewell to Munster on Friday night but we wonder if it’s the last we’ll see of him in the coming days.

“This has been the best 18 months of my life, not just in rugby. I have learned so much from Irish people. I will treasure these days for the rest of my life.”

Let’s join the dots. Erasmus’s lawyer Frikke Erasmus has stated that “Rassie will start working at South Africa Rugby on November 1st” and the Springboks rolled into Dublin last night (they are training in Donnybrook). It would be odd if Rassie and Jacques Nienaber didn’t show up at the Aviva stadium on Saturday. Maybe too soon to muscle into Allister Coetzee’s coaching box.
