Gal­braith through to next stage

John-Ross Gal­braith eased his way into the sec­ond stage of the Euro­pean Tour qual­i­fy­ing school over the Roxburghe course in Scot­land yes­ter­day as he main­tained his con­sis­tent run with a fourth con­sec­u­tive sub-par round.

The 23-year-ol d for­mer Ir­ish close cham­pion and North­ern Ire­land ti­tle-holder ended the first stage with a 72-hole ag­gre­gate of 282 – six un­der par – for a share of 11th place.

The White­head player started his fi­nal round with two birdies and reached the turn in one un­der par 35. He came home in level par 36 with two birdies, two bo­geys and five pars for a 71 to add to his pre­vi­ous 70, 70 and 71.

Colm Mo­ri­arty dis­ap­point­ingly missed out on mak­ing progress as he ended on 286 in a tie for 31st spot.
