Galbraith through to next stage
John-Ross Galbraith eased his way into the second stage of the European Tour qualifying school over the Roxburghe course in Scotland yesterday as he maintained his consistent run with a fourth consecutive sub-par round.
The 23-year-ol d former Irish close champion and Northern Ireland title-holder ended the first stage with a 72-hole aggregate of 282 – six under par – for a share of 11th place.
The Whitehead player started his final round with two birdies and reached the turn in one under par 35. He came home in level par 36 with two birdies, two bogeys and five pars for a 71 to add to his previous 70, 70 and 71.
Colm Moriarty disappointingly missed out on making progress as he ended on 286 in a tie for 31st spot.
