Roche turns up the heat in Arc­tic Race

Ni­co­las Roche was prom­i­nent on the sec­ond stage of the Arc­tic Race of Nor­way yes­ter­day, be­ing part of a small group which raced for the stage win into Kjølle­fjord.

Quick­est to the line was the Amer­i­can rider Colin Joyce (Rally Cy­cling), who beat the Dutch­man Den­nis van Win­den (Is­rael Cy­cling Academy) and nine oth­ers. Ni­co­las Roche had BMC Racing team-mate Danilo Wyss in the move; Wyss was fourth, while Roche rolled in tenth.

Roche is eighth over­all, 33 sec­onds be­hind the race leader Sergei Ch­er­net­ski (As­tana) as he seeks to se­cure a place on the BMC team for the Vuelta a Es­pana which starts next week.
