Hale denies Limerick
Limerick are not certain if they will qualify for the promotion-relegation playoffs as a point at the Market’s Field would have guaranteed them a place as a well-struck goal by Ronan Hale gave the visitors a deserved win.
Limerick goalkeeper Tommy Holland made a superb save to deny Hale after only six minutes and the home goalkeeper pushed over a long-range effort by Fisk four minutes later.
The visitors finally broke the deadlock when Hale fired past Holland after 24 minutes .
A cross from Limerick’s Shane Tracy was headed on to Karl O’Sullivan but from six yards he shot over in what was the first real chance to draw level six minutes after the break. A Tracy free was pushed over the bar by Ger Doherty in the Derry goal and Eoin Toal cleared.
