Agents on the move as selling season gears up
It’s that time of year when estate agents up the ante in anticipation (and hope) of a busy selling season. With it comes new hires and elevations of existing personnel.
DNG has announced its appointment of Mark Stafford as a partner to the main board of the group. A stalwart of the residential sector Stafford worked at Sherry FitzGerald for 10 years before joining DNG in 2013 where he set up its client services division. In his new role Stafford will oversee DNG’s northside offices and “many of the firm’s high-value house sales on the northside of the city”.
Things must be heating up on the northside because Sherry FitzGerald has announced the appointment of Melanie Brady as associate director and branch manager of itsKillester office. Bath-born Brady will be no stranger to the area having previously managed DNG’s Fairview branch. Michael Grehan, managing director of Sherry FitzGerald, said the move would “bolster our strengthening position on the northside”. The battle lines are drawn.
Meanwhile in deepest southside Dublin, Vincent Finnegan has made two appointments. Colin Thomas joins the firm as senior agent after 22 years’ experience as branch manager with agents DNG, Gunne and Murphy Mullan. Thomas has been involved in a number of “high-profile waterfront sales and off-market sales”. Stephen Conway will also join as a senior agent. Formerly of Colliers and Lisney, Conway has more than 35 years’ experience buying and selling residential sites in south Dublin and north Wicklow.
In Kildare, Lorraine Mulligan and her all-female team at Team Lorraine Mulligan in Celbridge are celebrating their win as Re/Max’s top agent in Ireland for the 12th year in a row.
The Celbridge branch also won Office of the Year at the Re/Max Awards this month. Mulligan started the business in 2002 with fellow director Lesley Kennedy and they currently employ seven full-time and part-time staff at their branches in Celbridge and Lucan.
