Interior nature

The Irish Times - Thursday - Property - - Interiors -

It’s the time of year when you want to escape to a country house hotel for a weekend getaway. While you’re there, be sure to steal a few style ideas starting with ways to work old-fashioned roses.

New York-based découpage artist John Derian has joined forces with Designers Guild on a range of wallpapers, fabrics and cushions that bear his signature, nature-inspired designs.

The Picture Book collection includes dragonflies, sepia-coloured roses used to great effect on the back of armchairs, and this reimagining of the classic blousy tuberose, seen on the chaise longue, ¤91 per linear metre and on the wallpaper, pictured behind, with a 10-metre roll also ¤91. Both are available to order from Aoki Interiors. designersguild.com; johnderian.com; aokiinteriors.ie
