Piero Lissoni, art director of superluxe yacht brand Sanlorenzo, recently furnished its outdoor (above) and indoor lounges at the company’s new shipyards at La Spezia with armchairs and daybeds from Living Divani outdoor collection, as well as pieces using a tubular weave that recalls the ropes of boats. Dún Laoghaire-based Downer International can supply and fit hyperbolic paraboloid awnings, similar to this design, about 10m by 5m in size, for about ¤30,000, but in Ireland people tend to avoid canopies that are fixed, says managing director Noel Downer. A framed, retractable awning system bolted onto the wall is proving more popular, he says. Prices start from about ¤5,000, supplied and installed. downerint.com; livingdivani.it;
