Ones to Watch Gay rights and Arthurian leg­ends

A two-part drama, co­in­cid­ing with the 50th an­niver­sary of Bri­tain’s de­crim­i­nal­i­sa­tion of ho­mo­sex­u­al­ity, fol­lows two re­la­tion­ships set 60 years apart in Man in an Orange Shirt ( BBC Two, Mon­day, 9pm).

Ex­cal­ibur: Be­hind the Movie (RTÉ One, Mon­day, 9.35pm) doc­u­ments the gru­elling mak­ing of John Boor­man’s film of the Arthurian leg­end. Shot in Ire­land, it launched the ca­reers of Liam Nee­son and Gabriel Byrne, who look back with their costars He­len Mir­ren (left, in the film) and Pa­trick Ste­wart.
