Brassed off with Jacob Rees-Mogg
Sir, – Europhiles should not worry about Jacob Rees-Mogg’s assertion that “the UK had no legal obligation to pay the EU ‘a brass farthing’ as it leaves” (Denis Staunton, London Letter, September 15th). Real farthings were actually made of bronze, whereas it is Mr Rees-Mogg’s neck which has more of a brass consistency. – Yours, etc,
KEVIN O’SULLIVAN, Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
