Sir, – If the stone-throw­ers em­ployed by es­tate agents, who ap­par­ently can throw stones sev­eral kilo­me­tres when de­ter­min­ing the prox­im­ity of homes to var­i­ous im­por­tant ser­vices, could be re­trained to throw the shot, the dis­cus and the javelin equally prodi­gious dis­tances, Ire­land would un­doubt­edly be guar­an­teed many gold medals in fu­ture Olympic Games. – Yours, etc,
