Rolling Stones open lat­est leg of the tour at Croke Park

The Rolling Stones opened the lat­est leg of their ‘No Fil­ter’ Euro­pean tour in Dublin last night with a set list packed with hits. The band ap­peared on stage at Croke Park just af­ter the ap­pointed time of 8.30pm and opened with Sym­pa­thy for The Devil which was fol­lowed by Tum­bling Dice. Lead singer Mick Jag­ger tried a his Ir­ish, say­ing “Dia dhaoibh agus fáilte” be­fore the band broke into Paint It Black. Jag­ger re­minded the crowd it was the Rolling Stones’ first ap­pear­ance at ‘Cro­ker’ as he put it, and un­like many of the artists who have come to the sta­dium be­fore him, the weather stayed fair for the du­ra­tion.
