Rolling Stones open latest leg of the tour at Croke Park
The Rolling Stones opened the latest leg of their ‘No Filter’ European tour in Dublin last night with a set list packed with hits. The band appeared on stage at Croke Park just after the appointed time of 8.30pm and opened with Sympathy for The Devil which was followed by Tumbling Dice. Lead singer Mick Jagger tried a his Irish, saying “Dia dhaoibh agus fáilte” before the band broke into Paint It Black. Jagger reminded the crowd it was the Rolling Stones’ first appearance at ‘Croker’ as he put it, and unlike many of the artists who have come to the stadium before him, the weather stayed fair for the duration.
