A turn for the surreal?

The Irish Times - - Comment & Letters -

Sir, – Doctors leave Ireland in droves due to poor working conditions; a medically qualified Taoiseach scolds doctors for taking Christmas holidays; a graduate of an eastern European medical school is recruited to a maternity unit despite never being registered to practice medicine elsewhere and never having examined a pregnant woman – and we all thought Flann O’Brien was deceased! – Yours, etc,

Dr JOHN DOHERTY, Vienna.
