THE results are in and Listowel has received it’s invitation to the National Tidy Towns Awards Ceremony in the Helix - but the results are not out, just yet.
That comes on awards night. In the meantime, Tidy Towns PRO Jackie Barrett has posed the big question perfectly as she thanked all in town for contributing to an even more beautiful streetscape this summer.
“Yes, those long awaited tickets to the Helix have arrived. Listowel is in the pot for an award but will it be the award we’ve been striving for?”
Whatever the result, Listowel can take heart from the passion it displayed in the competition this year, as ever.
“However none of this would have come about but for the dedicated support they received from you, the people of Listowel along with the council, the on-street workers, the CE workers, the local businesses, the schools, those that turned up for the evening cleanups and all those who worked away in the background, too many to mention them all. The Tidy Towns group are most grateful to you all,” Jackie said.
