Cy­cle for CUH in mem­ory of Michael

ON Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 15, the death oc­curred peace­fully at his res­i­dence of Michael Joe O’Sul­li­van, Faha, The Glen, Em­lagh­more, who was pre-de­ceased by his wife Gob­nait and grand­son Liam. Sin­cere con­do­lences are ex­pressed to his sons An­thony, Christo­pher, Paul, De­clan, Kieran, Vin­cent & Michéal, daugh­ters-in-law, 14 grand­chil­dren, brothers John & Timmy, sis­ter Christina, sis­ters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, neph­ews, grand­nieces, grand­nephews, rel­a­tives and a wide cir­cle of neigh­bours & friends.

In an ex­pres­sion of thanks for the ex­cel­lent care re­ceived by his late fa­ther, Michael Joe, at Cork Univer­sity Hospi­tal, An­thony O’ Sul­li­van re­cently set out to raise €1,000 by cy­cling to Cork with his un­cle Tim. South Kerry cy­clists could not let them go it alone, with Der­mot Keat­ing, Mike Gre­aney, Colm McGill and Diar­muid O’Leary join­ing them for a 167 km spin which took place on Satur­day morn­ing, Oc­to­ber 14. The cy­clists left the Glen at 8am and were met in Ca­her­siveen by Mike Gre­aney. They reached Cork at about 3.30pm, hav­ing cy­cled in dry con­di­tions. The winds were not bad, but in­creased for much of the jour­ney’s lat­ter half. Over €7,000 was raised.

The group who cy­cled from South Kerry to Cork City to raise funds for Cork Univer­sity Hospi­tal in ap­pre­ci­a­tion of the care re­ceived there by the the late Michael Joseph O’Sul­li­van of The Glen.
