FOOTBALL CLUB - ST BRENDANS BOARD - Our seniors played Churchill on Sunday morning last in the semi final of the League. The pitch in Churchill was in great condition, which allowed for a very competitive game. Ardfert finished strongly and won on a score of 3.12 to 1.11. Ardfert now face Ballymac in the final. Fixture not yet finalised. Ardfert travel to the Mitchels pitch this friday night where they face Na Gael in the semi final of the Championship. This game starts at 7.30pm. ST. BRENDAN’S HURLING CLUB/ARDFERT GAA LOTTO DRAW took place in McElligotts Bar with a jackpot of €4,600. There was no winner of the jackpot and the numbers drawn were 3, 4, 14 and 19. The lucky dip winners were €75 Margaret Costello Ardrahan, €40 Carol O’Callaghan Hazel Grove, €25 Alice Hanlon Heirhill Ballyheigue. Next weeks draw takes place in The Abbey Tavern with a jackpot of €4,700 and remember if your not in you can’t win!!
KERRY HURLING ALL STAR AWARDS The final Kerry Hurling All Stars awards will be presented on Saturday night next Oct 28th at The Railway Bar Lixnaw with a meet up time of 7.30pm and the awards to be presented at 8pm. This annual event has always been a very enjoyable night and we would like to congratulate all the nominees. Mike O’Halloran is the man responsible for this event which acknowledges the efforts of all who play hurling in Kerry. Elaine Kinsella of Radio Kerry and Timmy Sheehan will join Mike on the night. There will be a prize for the best dressed lady on the night. STRICTLY COME DANCING 2017. Our 12 couples have embarked on their six week training for this fundraising event for our club which will be held in The Ballyroe Heights hotel on Sat Dec 2nd. We would like to thank all our couples who are willing to help us in this fundraiser. More details to follow in the following weeks.
