Shronedrugh Hawk wins in 128th race

-

THE story of Shronedrugh Hawk just keeps rolling on and on. There he was at last week’s Tuesday SIS meeting running his 128th race (yes, his 128th race!)...and, best of all, winning again.

Truly, he is an amazing seasoned warrior and enormous credit is due to Tim Kelly, of Headford, for keeping him in such spanking shape all the time.

He has now won 22 races, has been placed 69 times and has annexed prize money of €9,062. A real phenomenon, is he not?

At the same meeting, Valentia Island’s Stevie O’Connor recorded a double with litter sister and brother, Spirit Honey (29.24) and Spirit Assassin (29.41), while the Patrick O’Connor-trained Saleen Isabella was the fastest winner on 28.93.

Other winners: Clounamon Hanney, 18.36; Oak Lantern, 29.80; Barstool Babe, 29.56; Lisahane Secreto, 29.44; Lee Smasher, 29.07; Ballymac Roy, 29.63.
