GAA LOTTO : There was no winner of last week’s lotto draw. The numbers drawn were 15, 18, 25 and 28. Lucky Dip winners were Deidre Dillane, Finbarr Carrig, Thomas Dillane, Ann Stack, Realtain O’Sullivan, Nuala Carmody. The next draw takes place this Saturday in the Swanky Bar with a jackpot of €1,900. Thanks to all those who continue to support the Lotto.

RESULTS : Tarbert Moyvane U-16 team lost to St Senan’s in the Division 2 championship final last Sunday on a scoreline of 5-14 to 3-8. Played in Coolard the combination side got off to a great start with two early goals but a physically stronger Senan’s side gradually took control of the game and were deserving winners. The Tarbert Moyvane U-21 team served up a very exciting game of football when they drew with Beale last Saturday in Ballylongford. Leading by one point at half time, there was never much between the sides where Tarbert Killian Langan and Beale’s Daragh Buckley were the key danger scorers. The game went to extra time and victory was in sight for the combination side who led by four points with three minutes of extra time left. But a goal and two points by Beale put them up one and time running out before a great run by Michael Heaphy who was fouled and Langan scoring the winning free with the last kick of the game. Final score Tarbert Moyvane 2-20, Beale 4-14. The Tarbert Moyvane minor team lost out to Beale on a scoreline of 1-15 to 3-5 with Cathal Brosnan scoring two excellent goals for the combination side. FIXTURES : Moyvane is the venue next Sunday for the quarter final of the North Kerry championship where Tarbert take on Ballyduff with a 2.30 throw in. The teams met in the same fixture last year with Ballyduff winning with a late goal so another close encounter is anticipated this time. Best of luck to Mike and the team and once again our supporters will turn out in strength to cheer on the Red and Black.
