Kerryman competition winner has someone special in mind

- By STEPHEN FERNANE

ORLA Williams from Friary Downs, Killarney, is the lucky winner of The Kerryman competition for two priceless tickets to Sunday’s All-Ireland Football Final; a prize that includes a night’s accommodation at the four-star Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport, and train tickets courtesy of Iarnróid Eireann.

Orla said she is a keen follow- er of GAA matches and while she won’t be able to attend Sunday’s big event due to a wedding, she has someone very special in mind for the tickets.

“I’m giving them to my brother Donagh who is bringing his son James (12) with him. They love their football and are both involved in the Kilcummin GAA Club. Donagh was very good to me when my partner, Benny, was unwell and it’s a lovely way to say thanks to him,” said Orla.

“It’s also great to have the Kerry minors involved. I was absolutely delighted to win and while unfortunately I can’t go myself, I couldn’t think of a more deserving replacement,” said added.

And who is going to win? “I’d love to see Mayo win, but I just think Dublin will beat them,” said Orla.
