Listowel man in settlement with taxman
A NORTH Kerry farmer has made a settlement of over €34,000 with the taxman according to the latest Revenue Tax Defaulters list.
James Relihan, a farmer with an address at Knockeragh, Listowel, paid Revenue a total of €34,703 arising from a Revenue Audit that found he had under declared €21,848 in Capital Gains Tax.
The Revenue list – covering settlements made between April 1 and June 30 2017 – also included outstanding interest of €6,300 and penalties amounting to just over €6,500.
Mr Relihan was the only Kerry person named on the list of 58 people and companies who made settlements worth a total of over €11million.
