CBS The Green set for 90 year cel­e­bra­tions

CBS The Green are call­ing on all past stu­dents to come out in force to help the school cel­e­brate their 90 year an­niver­sary in the school this Oc­to­ber.

It will be a case of be­ing able to lit­er­ally walk down mem­ory lane for many lo­cals here in town on Fri­day Oc­to­ber 6 as the school opens its doors and hall­ways at 1:30pm on the day to wel­come back its for­mer stu­dents.

“You are wel­come to at­tend the cel­e­bra­tion and we hope many of you will be able to help us cel­e­brate this mile­stone in the his­tory of CBS The Green. It will also be an op­por­tu­nity to view the school and rem­i­nisce on the many years you had in The Green,” said the school in its in­vite to Alumni.

The school, which first opened in 1927, is seek­ing copies of any old photos, sto­ries or ar­ti­cles that past stu­dents may have from their time in the school - any­one in­ter­ested in sub­mit­ting copies can do so by hand­ing them into the school di­rectly or by email­ing 90thcel­e­bra­tion@the­

“Both I and Robert Fla­herty (Deputy Prin­ci­pal & past pupil) look for­ward to see­ing you on the night. We will no­tify all of you of our progress over the com­ing weeks and months,” the in­vite fin­ished.

Their will be a spe­cial an­niver­sary sup­ple­ment pub­lished here in The Ker­ry­man in the week lead­ing up to the event for all those look­ing for more in­for­ma­tion.
