GAA star Laide takes the reins at Tralee CU

FOR­MER Kerry GAA star Pa Laide is the new CEO of Tralee Credit Union.

Laide – who has spent 27 years work­ing in var­i­ous busi­ness devel­op­ment and man­age­rial roles with AIB – took up his new role with TCU last week.

Hav­ing spent the last few years as AIB New­cas­tle West Branch Man­ager Mr Laide said he was happy to be back in the King­dom.

“I’m de­lighted to re­turn to Kerry work­ing with Tralee Credit Union. I’m re­ally look­ing for­ward to the chal­lenge and de­vel­op­ing the role with such a great team of pro­fes­sion­als at board, man­age­ment and staff level,” he said.

Tralee Credit Union serves 42,000 mem­bers through branches in Tralee, Castleis­land and Kil­lor­glin.

Cur­rently it has over €200 mil­lion in as­sets; over €180 mil­lion in sav­ings and €70 mil­lion out on loan.
