An­other award for chef Shaun

IT’S all hap­pen­ing for the Chapel­town chef Shaun O’Con­nor in re­cent times. Shaun re­ceived the pres­ti­gious Ca­tex Exhibition Award last year.In ad­di­tion to this he was re­cently awarded a bronze medal at the Chef Ire­land Na­tional Com­pe­ti­tions of Food and Bev­er­age Live 2018 in the City West Ho­tel, Dublin, in which he took part in the Ir­ish Ju­nior Lamb Com­pe­ti­tion.

Shaun’s dish con­sisted of roasted rump of Kerry Lamb, cele­riac and cashew nut puree, fon­dant potato, crisp caipers, golden raisin puree, roasted sweet sal­sify, panko cured liver with a madeira and bar­ley jus. Con­grat­u­la­tions and well done to him.
