Thou shalt not pass!

A RARE fall of snow over the weekend saw people heading up the Conor Pass to make snowmen and gaze at the white wonder. But by Monday the fun was over when the road was officially closed.

The ‘road closed’ signs remained in place on Tuesday, forcing drivers from ‘Below the Hill ‘to take the not very attractive option of travelling to Dingle via Camp. However, some veterans of the mountain road ignored the warning signs and crossed the hill anyway, leaving tyre tracks as evidence of their passage.

The Conor Pass was slippy but navigable on Sunday when this picture was taken but the ‘road closed’ signs were out on Monday.
