- HURLING NEWS Tommy O’Connor

AT this point we should know how our senior footballers fared against Monaghan and the team should be looking forward to a ‘weekend off’, but Mother Nature had different plans and an unplayable pitch caused last Sunday’s game to be postponed until next Sunday.

The CCCC has re-fixed the game for Inniskeen at 2.30pm on Sunday. The Kerry GAA Supporters Club will be taking to the road again for a day trip and all bookings are to be made before Thursday. Admission for adults is €15 with a 20% discount if tickets are purchased before midnight on Saturday. Free admission for U16s. It is a double header in Inniskeen on Sunday with the Monaghan hurlers playing Tyrone at 12.30.

After two rounds played, Kerry are in third place on the table with 4 points. Dublin and Galway occupy the top two places, making Kerry’s home game to Galway the following weekend even more anticipated. After three rounds played, Donegal and Kildare are bottom of the Division 1 table having lost all three of their games.

Last weekend, the Kerry senior hurlers had no game but are back in action this weekend with an away fixture to Kildare.
