Major changes ahead as Tralee Chamber completes its revamp
TRALEE Chamber Alliance is set to undergo sweeping changes as the business lobby and promotional group completes a comprehensive revamp of its structure.
A month ago well known local businessman Ken Tobin was appointed by Chamber President Aidan Kelly to conduct a sweeping review of the Alliance’s operations, aims, ambitions and structures.
That review is now complete and this week the Alliance unveiled its new structure.
The Chamber has been reorganised into five project teams and two advisory teams which – led by an overall steering group – will take charge of various development projects and initiatives.
A key development will be the creation of a new Junior Chamber which has been created specifically to give the town’s younger residents a greater say in how the town develops.
The various groups will involve over 70 business people – from various sectors – including many who were not previously members.
The new Executive and Steering Group will hold its first meeting with the new teams next Monday, March 12. At these meetings the individual groups will be given a 100 day deadline to conceive of and commence specific projects related to their specific objectives.
Ken Tobin will continue in his role as a Managing Consultant for another five months. Meanwhile Tralee Chamber Alliance is also to move from its current offices on Denny Street to the HQ Tralee building in the coming weeks.
