JOHN MURPHY UNDER 12 CUP

LISTOWEL Celtic A are into the next round of the as they saw off Camp Juniors 4-2.

This game was played in tough conditions and the North Kerry side needed keeper Ben Carey to be at his best to keep them in the game in the first half. Into the second half Camp Juniors took the lead but Listowel Celtic battled back to win 4-2 but again needed their keeper, who was Man of the Match, to secure the win.

Oisin Healy and Rurai Linnane both scored twice for Listowel Celtic with Lorcan O’Connor and Paudie Fitzgerald getting the Camp Juniors goals.

HEALY FAMILY UNDER 15 CUP

IT was a good day for Listowel Celtic as they also progressed in the Under 15 Cup.

Dylan Quinn certainly brought his scoring boots as he hit four of their goals with Darragh Carey getting the other one in a 4-2 win.

Mark Manning and Evan O’Sullivan replied Dingle Bay Rovers

Extra time was needed to separate Killorglin and Ballyhar with the former going through 2-1. Killoirgli­n took the lead through an own goal but Peter Cosgrave replied for Ballyhar.

But in extra time it was Dylan Moriarty that won the game from the penalty spot. Ballyhar are odds on from promotion for their League and proved here that they will be well capable of playing at a higher level.

UNDER 16 GIRLS NATIONAL CUP

LISTOWEL Celtic girls’ great run in the National Cup came to an end as they went down 4-0 to a very strong Freebooter­s side from Kilkenny in the semi-finals.
