Hayley steals cash from Carmel, who’s approached her wanting help with a worrying idea. Hayley immediatel­y regrets her actions and tries to give the money back to Carmel, pretending that it had dropped to the floor. Later on, Keegan confronts Carmel again, questionin­g why she’s still avoiding getting involved with Shakil’s funeral. Carmel hits back with some harsh words towards Keegan. Soon afterwards, Carmel heads to see Jay at the funeral parlour. Much to Jay’s shock, Carmel insists that nobody is welcome at the funeral as she just wants it to be her and Shakil. Meanwhile, Kush tells Denise that he’s disappoint­ed with Carmel’s attitude towards the funeral.

EMMERDALE

Sarah is dropped off at her dance but struggles once again to catch her breath. Samson finds Sarah and offers to take her home, but she’s determined to stay. How will the school dance go and will Sarah feel fit enough to get through it? Meanwhile, Jessie reveals her deepest fears. Elsewhere, Chas hides her heartbreak.

FAIR CITY

Alone in the Bistro and desperate to have some private time, Robert suggests to Michelle that they should have some fun in the freezer. Neither see Ryan sneak in to steal some steaks for his romantic dinner with Bethany and accidental­ly nudge the door shut, leaving them locked in. Later, Bethany is enjoying a romantic meal with Ryan, who has got the flat to himself. They kiss passionate­ly, but Bethany freaks out as he tries to go further. A panic-stricken Bethany runs out of the door, just as Sarah comes rounds the corner to see Ryan watching her, looking totally bewildered. Meanwhile, David starts his community service. When Billy drops in to see him, the other offenders are less than impressed that he is friends with a vicar. David calls in the cafe and stuns Shona by getting down on one knee and proposing. Elsewhere, Toyah find Eccles seriously ill in the backyard of Number 1. Returning from the vets, Ken says Eccles ate a sausage sandwich laced with slug pellets but will recover. Also, Sophie blames herself for Jack’s illness as Kevin keeps a vigil. Finally, Ken says he will pay for Tracy’s wedding if she has a double ceremony with Daniel, while Beth asks Kirk to do some digging on Alya for Carla.

A Collins family barbecue gets out of hand, and a face from the past causes havoc for the O’Briens. Meanwhile, Jane is envious of Carol’s new found happiness. Emmet finds an unlikely ally in Charlotte, and the Bishops contemplat­e a future without Kerri-Ann. Hayley’s romantic decision raises eyebrows.
